This episode is very appropriate given April’s significance with Fair Housing and the Real Estate community. As a new immigrant to the U.S. Margie Dejesus and her husband experienced discrimination while searching for a home. Her response was to get engaged with housing in her local market of Reading, Pennsylvania by working with lenders to learn about special programs for affordable housing and first-time buyers. This led to a career in mortgage lending and, ultimately, to her becoming a Realtor herself in order to provide complete service to her customers. Margie has since established herself as a top agent in her market and grown a team in 2021 on her way to winning sales awards with the company.
In this episode we talk with Margie about those early days establishing a business based about fair housing and great service, and what she has learned and will apply as a team leader mentoring others in the industry. It’s a both inspirational and informative time with a local market luminary within Coldwell Banker.
