As a new immigrant to the U.S. Margie Dejesus and her husband experienced discrimination while searching for a home. Her response was to get engaged with housing in her local market of Reading, Pennsylvania by working with lenders to learn about special programs for affordable housing and first-time buyers. This led to a career in mortgage lending and, ultimately, to her becoming a Realtor herself in order to provide complete service to her customers. Margie has since established herself as a top agent in her market and grown a team in 2021 on her way to winning sales awards with the company.

In this episode we spent some quality time with Amy Beachy, a relatively new agent in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania office who in only four years has topped the office in sales for 2021. A busy Realtor and mom of three, Amy paused to share with us how she built her business on her core values of authenticity, being there for her clients and customers in a very real way and “doing life” with them. Amy goes out of her way to provide value to her sphere, and points out that she doesn’t want anyone to feel pressured to make her their agent, she just wants to help either way. She doesn’t change who she is to be successful in this business.
